A matcha latte in an oatmeal bowl! Matcha is an amazing tea from Japan that is very high in antioxidants and can help boost your metabolism! This Matcha Baked Oatmeal combines matcha with oats and a tasty strawberry frosting to make a bowl of deliciousness you can enjoy for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Pinole Chia Oatmeal Original
  • 1/2 cup Plant Based Milk
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 dropper full of Chlorophyll (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • For frosting:
  • 1.5 tbsp vegan cream cheese (or regular)
  • 1 tbsp strawberry jelly

Instructions

  1. Blend together your Pinole Chia Oatmeal, milk, banana, protein powder, vanilla extract, baking powder, matcha powder, salt and chlorophyll
  2. Pour mixture into greased ramekin and bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
  3. While it’s baking, make your frosting: Mix together cream cheese and strawberry jelly
  4. Take your baked oats masterpiece of out the oven, top with strawberry cream cheese frosting, and enjoy!
