Another dessert for breakfast oatmeal? Yes, we can't get enough. This time I tried a healthier version of apple pie! This is a tasty breakfast that combines the delicious flavors of apple pie and Pinole Chia Oatmeal! It is high in fiber, protein, healthy and so delicious! Try it out!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Pinole Chia Oatmeal Original
  • 1/2 cup milk (We used flax milk)
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 apple
  • 1/2 tbsp butter
  • More cinnamon
  • Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Pecans

Instructions

  1. Blend together Pinole Chia Oatmeal, milk, banana, protein powder, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract
  2. Chop up half of an apple into small chunks and sauté in a pan over medium heat with your butter, lots of cinnamon and 1/4 cup water for about 15 minutes until tender.
  3. Pour the oat batter into a greased ramekin and mix the rest of the apple in the batter and on top.
  4. Next, top with chopped Pecans and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon!
  5. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 18 minutes and enjoy these warm apple pie baked oats!
